SULPHUR SPRINGS
The Sulphur Springs can be found in “The World’s only drive-in Volcano”. This is a large caldera, which emits steam and boiling water. A stream from the springs runs down to mud bathing pools which are reputed to have therapeutic qualities for the skin. Further up from the Sulphur Springs are stone carvings that depict different gods and goddesses and other historic artefacts from the era of the native Arawak Indian.
DIAMOND WATERFALLS
The Diamond Botanical Gardens, Waterfall, Mineral Baths and Nature Trail is a tourist complex where you can walk through the stunning gardens commissioned by King Louis XIV and bathe in the mineral rich waters of the baths fed by sulphur streams. The waterfall and nature walk are an ideal way to enjoy your newly revitalised body while the surroundings are simply beautiful.

Created in 1995, the Soufriere Marine Management Area (SMMA) was designed specifically to cater to the myriad of uses in the area, reduce conflict among users and protect critical marine resources. The Management Area is divided into five zones: marine reserves, fishing priority areas, yacht mooring areas, recreational areas and multiple use areas.

Visitors can experience the day-to-day running of a cocoa plantation which includes harvesting, drying, grinding, dancing and rolling the cocoa, which also includes the formation of the finished chocolate product. Recent visitors include Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall, Camilla Parker-Bowles.
HOTEL CHOCOLAT
The 140-acre Rabot Estate near Soufriere takes advantage of the rich and fertile volcanic soil, high altitude (c.1000ft above sea level) and rainforest water, which all create a unique environment perfectly suited to cocoa production. The cocoa trees of Rabot Estate are primarily Trinitario species rich in Criollo genes, which give exceptionally fine cocoa. Chocolate is made twice a year from the harvest.
LADERA
A resort situated higher up in the Val des Pitons. Ladera features the Dasheene restaurant, a very popular and award-winning dining destination on the island with stunning views over the Pitons and the Caribbean Sea. Celebrities including singer John Legend have been known to dine in the restaurant.
SOUFRIÉRE
Soufriére is the former capital of St Lucia with a rich history and the nearest town to Sugar Beach. The town was formed into a plantation economy in 1645 when the French settled on the island. After a destructive hurricane in 1780, the Brigands waged a war for freedom and chose Soufriére as their headquarters. The guillotine was used for the first time here in 1795 when the Reign of Terror in France reached the island of St Lucia. Today Soufriére is a beautiful seaside town facing the Caribbean Sea.
GOLF

Plans are underway for a further Jack Nicklaus-designed course in the north east of the island, with Atlantic views. Work has also started on a Greg Norman course on the east coast, which is scheduled to be completed within the next 18 months.
